Terri Hawkes

Terri Hawkes, aka Sailor Moon, is a playwright, screenwriter, director and actor.  She took on the acting role of Sailor Moon in the English speaking version of the television series and films after the first six episodes, continuing in that role for a number of years.  In 2000, Ms. Hawkes left the series to focus on her growing family, but she is still considered the most recognizable voice of “the defender of love and justice” among Moonies across the U.S.  While working on the English dub of the internationally known anime, Ms. Hawkes was ‘pinch-hitter’ for director, Roland Parliament, helping to voice direct various episodes of Sailor Moon.

In addition to fighting the ‘Negaverse’, Terri Hawkes has been busy in the animation world for quite some time. Her voice repertoire includes another title voice, Princess Sissi in the highly popular series of the same name. She was also Lydia (and voice director) for the series, Flying Rhino Junior High, and Baby Hugs and Shreeky in The Care Bears. Many fans of eighties’ cartoons will also recognize Terri as the voices of Bianca Dupree and Blaze Summers in Beverly Hills Teens. You can catch her in episodes of other series including Myth Men and Bob and Margaret; the feature film, Ferretina; as well as the continuing role of Franny in the black comedy Quads for Teletoon.

Florida Anime Experience will be her first ever appearance at an American anime convention and we’re thrilled to have her as our Guest of Honor!
