THIS SATURDAY! Orlando Cosplayers are invited to march with Florida Anime Experience in the 6th Annual Dragon Parade in Orlando.
Last year, Florida Anime Experience was invited by the Asia Trend and Mills 50 to march in the annual Dragon Parade and Lunar New Year Festival. This year, we’re doing it again – and YOU’RE INVITED TO JOIN US! The event takes place Saturday at the Orlando Fashion Square mall.
Want to march in the parade? Here’s what you need to know:
1. If possible, please RSVP so we have a count of cosplayers – and what costumes will be in the parade – by emailing contact@FloridaAnime.com.
2. You will need to sign a waiver to participate. We can get you the waiver ahead of time via email, or get if from you at the parade. If you are under the age of 18 years old, a parent/guardian will need to sign it, too.
3. Please plan to cosplay in a family friendly fashion. (No “Dead or Alive” or “Kill la Kill – final costume” types.) While you can do American cosplay (Superheroes, etc.) – Japanese anime and video game cosplay is encouraged.
4. CALL TIME: 9:45 AM, Saturday February 11th. Please proceed to Anthem College’s Parking lot facing Herndon Ave at the Orlando Fashion Square Mall close to Dillard’s. There is only one check-in Entry Location in the staging area. Our parade volunteers will assist you with finding your assigned space in the staging area. (Only parade participants and vehicles will be allowed in the assigned staging area so if you are not participating please plan to drop your participant off and if you are helping with decoration please plan to park nearby and walk back to the staging area.) Feel free to call/text when you get there: (407) 536-9272.
