PRESS RELEASE Florida Anime Experience 2014 Is Almost Here


The annual celebration of anime, cosplay, and Japanese pop culture brings unique guests and events to local fans.


(ORLANDO, FLORIDA, May 20, 2014) Started in 2011, Florida Anime Experience ( is a three day “comic con” style convention with a specific focus on Japanese culture and entertainment. The event boasts unique celebrity and industry guests plus hours of entertainment for fans of anime, cosplay, manga, video games, and more. This is the event’s fourth year in Central Florida. The event takes place May 23-25, 2014 at the International Palms Resort and Conference Center located at 6515 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819. Programming begins each day at 11:00 AM.

Ticket prices are $20 for Friday or Sunday, $25 for Saturday, or $45 for all three days. In addition, you can purchase tickets to our authentic Akihabara style maid cafe, Maid Cafe Latte ( for $13. Each cafe admission includes a small snack, a boba tea drink, and games for all ages. Please note that you must have a paid admission to Florida Anime Experience in order to purchase a pass to Maid Cafe Latte. Children under 3 years old get in for free.

The weekend boasts an impressive guest lineup including Ian Sinclair, the voice of the title character from Adult Swim’s Space Dandy cartoon. Joining him is Melissa Fahn in her first ever Central Florida appearance. Melissa’s voice can be linked to such iconic characters as Ed in Cowboy Bebop and Gaz in the Nickelodeon cartoon Invader ZIM. She was also the understudy for Kristin Chenowith for the role of Glinda on the initial Broadway run of Wicked.

Entertainment at the convention includes an anime viewing room, manga library, Japanese video game room, fan and industry panels, Japanese culture panels, costume contests, dance parties, and much more. A complete schedule is available online at

Based on previous years, the event is expected to attract approximately 2,000 attendees from the Orlando area.
