11:00 AM – Cross Game (Episodes 1 & 2)
From Mitsuru Adachi, the author of the classic series Touch, comes another heartwarming baseball romance series about dreams, family, moving on after a tragedy, and finally accepting what you pretended not to notice all along. It’s a simple, straightforward series but manages a more deft touch than many of its more ambitious brethren.

12:00 PM – Project A-ko
SOME would like you to believe that this amazing movie is nothing more than a “product of the 1980s”. Those people are FAT HIPSTERS who don’t understand the awesomeness of a story about a schoolgirl with superhuman powers and how her schoolyard fight with her rival over her…”friend”…turns into an intergalactic battle with Kenshiro and Captain Harlock…maybe.

1:30 PM - Lupin the Third, Episode 0: First Contact
For decades there have been animated adventures of the world’s greatest thief and his equally skilled cohorts trying to steal priceless artifacts in highly improbable fashion while evading arrest in even MORE improbable fashion. But how did they originally meet up with one another, anyway? This modern-era remake of their “origin story” may or may not answer that for you!

3:00 PM - Urusei Yatsura OVA
This isn’t just some show Stevie B. loved that’s about some green-haired girl in a tiger bikini. Before Rin-Ne, Inuyasha, and even Ranma 1/2 Rumiko Takahashi first became famous for this series about the most lecherous (and most unlucky) guy in the galaxy being thrust into the middle of absolute CHAOS. Then again, the reason this cartoon rules so hard is that it deviates from her source material!

4:00 PM - Crusher Joe OVA1
From the creator of the Original Dirty Pair, this classic sci-fi action anime was Cowboy Bebop BEFORE Cowboy Bebop. Joe, a dirty jobs for hire fellow and his crew are caught up in a plot that’s…way too complex to describe here. Featuring beautiful animation and designs by Shoji Kawamori of Macross and Macross Plus fame.

5:00 PM - Story of Saiunkoku
Hey, remember that show Fushigi Yuugi and all the cool fantasy-Chinese costumes, magic, and extremely hot guys? Wouldn’t it be awesome if the main female character was actually smart, tough, and politically savvy instead of a useless whiny brat? That’s exactly what this show is (well, with more politics) and it is glorious. A criminally underrated, must-watch series.

6:00 PM - Toward the Terra
A classic space opera tale of a dystopian future ruled by supercomputers, where memories are manipulated to produce efficient citizens; the Mu, a group of humans with psychic abilities, are exiled and hunted. Two young men — Jomy, a newfound Mu and Keith, the perfect citizen — will lead opposite sides of a struggle for the Mu’s existence and the future of humanity. Based on a classic shonen manga by revolutionary shojo artist Keiko Takemiya.

8:00 PM - Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo (Episodes 1-4)
Dinosaurs didn’t go extinct, okay? That was just another lie you were taught in school. In reality, there’s a Dinosaur Empire under the Earth’s surface, waiting to take over. Only crazy scientists, hot-blooded robot pilots, and AMERICAN PEOPLE (as envisioned by Japan!) can save the day. If you liked Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, you owe it to yourself to witness this.
